I am a skilled facilitator who works with varying clients from churches to schools, to corporate clients, including financial institutions.
As an accredited Time to Think Coach, this methodology informs all that I do & because I also regularly work as a senior HR interim, this approach is coupled with a unique business insight.
Offsite & Away Day Events
I am able to provide bespoke offsite & away day meeting facilitation to suit the needs of your organisation. My goal is to get the very best thinking from each person attending & to get them to share that thinking for the benefit of the group, whilst feeling listened to & empowered.
Facilitating Key Meetings & Teams
I facilitate meetings in-house to take the pressure off the Chair. I run such meetings as a Thinking Environment®, to get the very best thinking from all those present, in the most efficient & affirming way.
Training in Transforming Meetings™
This training leaves behind skill on the table. Everyone wants the best possible results from meetings & the quality of decisions & actions of the group will depend on the quality of the thinking they do together first.
Is a one day programme for teams to learn about & apply the behaviours that have been found to most enhance people’s thinking. The programme can also be run over two half days.
Bespoke Training Courses
I write & deliver bespoke training courses as requested by companies, schools and church organisations.
More About the Thinking Environment®
It was Nancy Kline, creator or the Thinking Environment who first put into words the fundamental observation that “the quality of everything we do, depends on the quality of the thinking we do first”.
Through years of experience & observation, Nancy found that what influences a person’s ability to think well for themselves is not how senior or experienced they are, nor their intellect; It is the way they are being treated by the people they are with at the time. The behaviour of the listener or listeners is critical.
There are ten ways of being with people, known in the Thinking Environment as the 10 Components.
As a facilitator, I set out to embody the 10 Components of the Thinking Environment.
I partner with teams from a position of equality, listening to people & creating the conditions for them to think really well for themselves, enabling a clarity of thought which paves the way for decisive action and transformational results.
What people say:
“Miranda came to our church and led three sessions. Firstly, a coaching session for me as minister, secondly a PCC training day and thirdly an actual PCC meeting. Miranda’s expertise mixed with good humour and gentleness has transformed my leadership and the meeting as a whole. We have had feedback from members who feel more heard and valued because of the techniques Miranda encouraged us in. Our meetings are more fruitful, personable and take less time than before. We are very thankful for her time”. Charles Lamont, Minister, St Andrew’s, Wimbledon
“We invited Miranda to share a different approach to ‘Thinking’ that we could use to support other teams. However, what we discovered was that there was far more we could do as a team to work better together ourselves and to allow our best thinking to emerge. Miranda created a safe space for us to learn and explore and provided us with tools that will enhance the way we interact and think as a team”. Hannah. Civil Service.
